Three Linux-based servers
Overview
About our three Roon ready Linux-based servers:
Our three streamers are Linux-based and are ROON Ready. This excludes the ROON license, but includes the default ROON trial offered by ROON Labs.
All our streamers come as default with a switch-mode power supply but are upgradable to a linear power supply (inquire for more info).
Installation of ROON for networking and syncing to your music library (NAS/Cloud/Hard-Drive/etc) is a service we offer upon purchasing of the unit. This installation is done via remote desktop. Remote desktop allows our technicians to log-in onto your main computer to assist with the setting up of your Tidal, Quobus, (etc), accounts and in order to get your music loaded onto ROON.
About the remote control
We recommend iPads and Apple based products for remote control as they offer a wider range of customisation, this is because ROON Server in Linux is limited and not tweakable. Alternatively, an Android tablet will work just as good but the UI (user interface) is limited compared to the Apple-based iPads.
